FOOD that reduces HIGH B.P!!!!
*Normal B.P is 120/80 but it depends on the age.*Exercise & diet, less in sodium and high in potassium, magnesium & fiber.
*Drink plenty of water.
*Vitamin D - Reduces high B.P.
Do's:-
1. Green leafy vegetable:- It contains potassium.
- Potassium is used to remove extra sodium from the body in the form of urine.
- Green leafy vegetables can be used to make smoothies by adding a banana.
2. Strawberries:- It contains flavonoids that help reduce blood pressure.
3. Beetroot:- It contains Nitric oxide which helps in the opening, and closing of veins & reduces B.P.
According to research, after consuming this, B.P will be reduced within 24 hrs. It can be eaten raw or in juice form or it can be made as Sabji(curry).
4. Skim Milk - High in Calcium & low in fat. You can also make curd from this.
5. Oatmeal:- High in fiber, low in fat.
6. Banana:- High in potassium. You can add Banana/Strawberry in oats & skim milk.
7. Garlic:- It increases the level of Nitric Oxide in our body & reduces Hypertension or high B.P. You can eat it raw or use it in Dal, Sabji, or Chutney.
8. Seeds:- Sunflower, pumpkin, watermelon, cucumber seeds - High in Potassium, Magnesium & Minerals used to reduce B.P. You can consume this anytime during the day.
9. Fish:- It contains Omega 3 fatty acids. It reduces triglycerides & rich in Vitamin D.
10. Herbs:- Tulasi, Cinnamon, Ajwain, Cardamom & Ginger help in reducing High B.P.
11. Dark Chocolate:- It is good for the heart. we can eat 100 gm of Dark chocolate daily.
12. Pista:- It won't allow veins to shrink & reduces heart rate in return B.P is reduced.
13. Olive Oil:- It contains healthy fat (polyphenols) which helps in reducing inflammation, so B.P is reduced. Stop using refined oils.
14. Pomegranate (Anaar):-It reduces B.P you can eat seeds or make juice. If you drink 1 cup of pomegranate juice regularly for 4 weeks, it helps in reducing High B.P.
Don'ts:-
1. Reduce salt.
2. Pickle, fast foods, ready-made soups, and tomato sauce should be avoided.
3. Reduce sugar consumption, this also increases B.P.
4. Saturated fat & Trans fats, which increase bad cholesterol and in return increases B.P.
5. Stop alcohol.
